Join us for a reading with Joseph Anthony Rulli, author of Chicago Socialism: The People’s History at City Lit Books on Friday, January 17th, 2019 at 6:30 PM in conversation with Steve Bellinger, author of Edge of Perception.
Chicago Socialism: The People’s History is a grassroots look at the story of the Socialist Party in the Windy City from the 1870’s to the present. It focuses on workers, journalists and city politicians: the lives of the not-so-famous in a city often known for its infamy. The work looks at the movement in relation to several issues relevant to the nation, over time and across political party affiliation such as labor, education, women, race, ethnicity and war.
“Edge of Perception has every ingredient of a brilliant novel. You do not need to be a fan of paranormal novels to enjoy this book. The characters, story line, and thought-provoking subject matter will send shivers down your spine. Highly, highly recommended.” - Lesley Jones for Readers’ Favorite
