Winning Entrants: This year's Annual presents award-winning work from students whose Instruc- tors have inspired and challenged them to achieve brilliance. A few of the Platinum-winning Instruc- tors are as follows: in Advertising: Frank Anselmo, Jack Mariucci, Robert Mackall, and Mel White; in Design: Eileen Hedy Schultz, Adrian Pulfer, and Chris Austopchuk; in Photography: Lynda Green; and in Film: Ori Kleiner, Kelly Holohan, and Mark Smith. Contents: This year, Graphis awarded over nearly 1,000 winners. Entries were judged by an award-winning panel of industry leaders, including Melchior Imboden, Michael Schillig, Michael Pan- tuso, and Chad Grandey, among several others. Also included is some of the work of Phil Bekker, who retired from his career as a Photography Professor at the Art Institute of Atlanta. B. Martin Pedersen, Publisher, Design and Editorial Director of Graphis, has won numerous awards in his past from the AIGA, ADC, TDC, and the SPD, who honored him with the first Herb Lubalin Award for excellence in editorial design. He also won the Columbia University National Magazine Award for the best designed magazine of the year. He has been inducted into the Art Directors Club Hall of Fame, received the AIGA Gold Medal for a lifetime achievement in Design, and is a member of Alliance Graphique International (AGI) and the New York Yacht Club.
